As one of the founding members of the Board of Directors of the Little Saint Nick Foundation, I am committed to personally supporting the noble mission of the Little Saint Nick Foundation (https://littlestnick.org/who-we-are/#mission). The Little Saint Nick Foundation helps ill children cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and activities. We touch the lives of a sick child all along their journey from the time they arrive at the emergency room, the diagnosis thru their hospital stay. The Little Saint Nick Foundation changes the way a child views a hospital by making it a more kid-friendly place. We provide child patients with an escape from the doctors, nurses, treatments and doing something fun to keep their mind off their illness. The Little Saint Nick Foundation’s vision is to establish chapters in local communities in all 50 states in the United States to develop and nurture a nationwide culture of volunteerism and service to others amongst kids of all ages including kids as young as five years-old — the same age that the Little Saint Nick Foundation’s Chairman Ray Mohler, Jr began Little Saint Nick. We accomplish this by providing a turnkey suite of services and support programs, and educational scholarships to kids in each local chapter who aspire to improving the lives of other kids during their hospitalization stays. Our ultimate goal is to have a national organization supporting Little Saint Nick’s kids locally that is organized by kids, with the goal of “Kids Inspiring and Helping Kids”. As a committed, passionate life-long supporter of the Little Saint Nick Foundation, I ask you to consider spreading some of your own holiday cheer by supporting Little Saint Nick during the Holiday Season with one-time donation to our First Annual Little Saint Nick Foundation Holiday Campaign. Where does the money go?
$1,000 will allow the Little Saint Nick Foundation to do the following:
- Pack and distribute 63 emergency department gift bags.
- Pack and distribute 25 family care packages.
- Impact the lives of 88 kids and their families in need.
About the Little Saint Nick Foundation
The Little Saint Nick Foundation (LSNF), a registered 501C3 non-profit organization, has the mission of “Kids Inspiring and Helping Kids”. This mission is to not only help kids and families in need who are ill, but to inspire kids and young adults to give back to those kids in need. LSNF has developed many anxiety relief programs that include an emergency department gift bag program, family care package program, hospital toy give-away parties, and wish granting, all centered upon improving the lives of sick kids and their families.
Check out our website: littlestnick.org. LSNF was founded by Raymond Mohler Jr. at the age of six in 2004. Ray had suffered from a rare childhood hip disorder but was fortunate enough not to have any life-threatening illnesses and fully recovered. Ray decided that he needed to give back to the kids who he had left behind at the hospital, and his goal was to ease the anxiety and fear of those children in need.
For the past 16 years, Ray and LSNF has helped over one million kids in need. Check out Ray ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange last year and other videos. We are currently based in New York and Florida, as we are expanding our mission across the country by opening up chapters and student organizations at universities.
